They aren't "settlements"

They're legally built homes on legally purchased land in legally established towns. Built, owned and lived in by Jews in their native, ancestral homeland.

I don't remember ever reading about Arab "settlers" living in Arab "settlements" in Israel.
"In a surprise move that undermines Barack Obama's early efforts to improve relations with the Arab world, the White House announced that it was embracing Israel's position on the resumption of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

"U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said over the weekend that she welcomed Israel's offer of a limited moratorium on the construction of some settlements in the Palestinian West Bank. She called it 'unprecedented' and said it puts the onus on Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas to return to the negotiating table without preconditions...

"Mr. Netanyahu, however, has said his government would not approve any further settlement construction in the West Bank for the next nine months, but insisted on the right to complete the building of 3,000 housing units already approved as well as carry out unlimited construction in parts of Jerusalem occupied in 1967."
More here. The wording of the first paragraph is loaded with obvious bias but, hey, it's the Globe and Mail.

Stick to your guns, Bibi. It's your country, not Obama's.
