Walk With Israel 2010 - Flash Mob of Mockery - Part 1

One cop.

Two cops.

Three cops.

I went on the Walk With Israel on Sunday and saw a mini protest on the way back.

Several men from Neturei Karta, plus a few other men (with keffiyehs), were holding signs outside the Princes Gate. Walkers slowly started to gather to mock, sing and argue. This elderly gentleman was a Holocaust survivor who gave the anti-Israel folks a piece of his mind. You should have seen how quickly the police mobilized to control this flash mob of mockery.

As they were leaving, the young girl in blue turned back to the crowd of walkers, raised her arm, pointed at them, and said twice in a chilling voice, "You'll be sorry, I swear. You will pay: the day is coming."

At the end of the Q&A, Bjorn Larsen of the International Free Press Society asked Sam Solomon, "On the real question everybody burns to ask, do the moderates [Muslims] exist and will they rise up and throw out the bad ones?"

Sam Solomon responded:

"Does a moderate accept that the Jew and the Muslim are equal?

"Does a moderate accept the validity of people to change their religion?

"Would a moderate accept that a man and a woman's testimony is the same and the one and they're equal?

"Would a moderate accept that allegiance is not to a Muslim alone but must be given to whosoever is worthy and that there is no distinction in that?

"Are these the characteristics of the moderate?

"Would a moderate accept that a Muslim woman would be allowed to marry a non-Muslim man?

"Would a moderate accept that the killing of an innocent person cannot be tolerated, must not be tolerated, to discard Islam for other religion or for no religion, must not face punitive punishment?

"Is that the sign of a moderate?

"Produce me a moderate who would issue a fatwa and say these things are valid.

"In fact, you can go on Google and you can Google the Muslim Charter of Understanding, and you'll see we put 10 points at the European Parliament in Strasburg in 2006 and yet we have [yet] to find -- [out of] over a billion Muslims -- one person to sign that charter."

What kind of Pride is this?

What's next: an updated formulation of The Village People featuring the new gay icon of a Muslim terrorist in place of the hard-hat wearing guy first personified by Dave Hodo? Somehow I don't think so.

"Queers Against Israeli Apartheid violated policy, city says"

"City bureaucrats may withdraw funding from Pride Toronto next year if the activist group Queers Against Israeli Apartheid is allowed to march in this summer's parade.

"The city, which gave Pride $121,000 in 2009, believes its anti-discrimination policy was likely violated by QuAIA's conduct and even its very presence at last summer's parade, said general manager of economic development and culture Mike Williams...

"Ceta Ramkhalawansingh, city manager of diversity management and community engagement, said she looked to Ontario Human Rights Commission guidelines for direction regarding the parade.

"The guidelines, she said, mention racism that creates a 'poisoned environment.' She said QuAIA had created an environment at Pride 'where not everybody feels welcome.' Thus, she said, the city's message to Pride was: "You've got a problem. Deal with it.'"

The environment has been poisoned at Pride. I was harassed, intimidated and made to feel extremely unwelcome by the QuAIA group because I was "identified as a Zionist".

I was shocked by the sexually menacing behaviour exhibited by some of the Palestine House men.
